Kelli’s life was profoundly transformed during college through a twelve-week summer project with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU), where she experienced in-depth, purpose-driven discipleship and evangelism training. That experience ignited the desire to work in full-time ministry, which eventually led her to TENTMAKERS. Kelli and her husband, Reed, completed the intensive seven-week leadership training program together and then went on to serve in a small church in South Dakota for many years.

A highlight during that time was watching the huge impact Leadership Quest had on the lives of their high school students—some of whom later stepped into full-time ministry themselves, continuing the legacy of leadership and faith.

Kelli serves on the TENTMAKER administrative support team, working behind-the-scenes to ensure things run smoothly for staff working in the field. In 2022, she became an author with the release of her thought-provoking book End Time Machine, a creative examination of future events through a biblical lens. She was pleasantly surprised in 2024 when the book reached bestseller status in the categories of Eschatology, Christian Youth Ministry, and Teen & Young Adult Christian Family Fiction.
