Statement of Identity
The mission of Tentmakers is to provide Christ-centered, transformational leadership training to sharpen skills for stronger lives, families, vocations, and ministries.
Tentmakers is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization which is guided by a Board of Directors composed of Christian business leaders and clergy. As a ministry currently serving over 21 Christian denominations, we are neither administratively controlled nor budgeted by any denominational church body. We are members of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.
Tentmakers was founded by president Dick Amundson in 1979.
Statement of Belief
We believe in one God manifest in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and that it is a gift of grace, not earned by works.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and as such is the final authority on all matters of faith and life.
We believe in living by The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and in fulfilling The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
We believe in preparing God’s people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up (Ephesians 4:12).
